Techtextil and Texprocess run 4-7 April 2028 at Frankfurt am Main with a restructured five-hall layout.
In 2026, 87% of Texprocess visitors also attended Techtextil and 68% of Techtextil visitors attended Texprocess.
Around 80% of exhibitors reported meeting their trade fair objectives in 2026.
Lenzing, CHT, Sioen Industries and Toray Textiles Europe are among early Techtextil registrants; Kornit, Veit and ZSK committed to Texprocess.
Early-booking exhibitor rates close on 30 November 2026.
Techtextil and Texprocess will return to Frankfurt am Main from 4 to 7 April 2028 with a restructured hall layout that links materials, production technologies and textile processing along a single visitor route. Organiser Messe Frankfurt says the changes aim to increase collaboration between stages of the textile value chain and generate new business for exhibitors and buyers.
The move comes as textile manufacturers face volatile markets, rising costs and shifting global supply chains. Advanced materials, automation and artificial intelligence are opening new application areas, which makes cooperation between production stages more important, according to the organiser.
How does the 2026 overlap support the format?
Messe Frankfurt staged the two fairs concurrently in 2026, and the crossover data supports the combined format. According to the organiser, 87% of Texprocess trade visitors also attended Techtextil, while 68% of Techtextil visitors explored Texprocess. Around 80% of exhibitors reported achieving their trade fair objectives.
The concurrent staging brings research organisations, material suppliers, machinery manufacturers, processors and industrial users to one location. Messe Frankfurt describes this as a significant advantage for sourcing teams that need to evaluate materials and processing technology together.
Which companies have already committed?
Several leading international suppliers have confirmed participation for 2028. Early Techtextil registrations include:
- Angles Textil/Antex
- Beaulieu Fibres International
- CHT
- Dilo Systems
- Getzner Textil
- Huvis Corporation
- Lenzing
- Sioen Industries
- Toray Textiles Europe
Kornit, Veit and ZSK Stickmaschinen are among the first companies committed to Texprocess, reflecting continued interest in machinery for processing textiles and flexible materials.
What does the new hall layout change?
The 2028 edition spans five hall levels in the western section of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds, arranged to follow the textile value chain. The route works as follows:
- Production technologies open the route in Techtextil's Hall 8.0.
- Fibres and yarns sit in Hall 12.0.
- Technical textiles and nonwovens occupy Halls 12.0 and 12.1.
- Coated textiles and composites fill Hall 11.0.
- Hall 9.0 hosts textile auxiliaries and chemicals, plus Performance Apparel Textiles placed near relevant finishing technologies.
- The route ends back in Hall 8.0, where Techtextil production technologies connect directly with Texprocess machinery and systems.
Messe Frankfurt says this spatial integration lets exhibitors engage more effectively with suppliers, technology partners and potential customers. Visitors can assess solutions in the context of the wider manufacturing process rather than in isolation.
The layout reflects cross-sector demand as technical textiles expand into mobility, construction, healthcare, protective clothing and industrial manufacturing. Techtextil covers technical textiles, nonwovens and their production technologies; Texprocess covers machinery, equipment and processes for garment and textile-product manufacturing.
What should sourcing teams do now?
Companies planning to exhibit can register at early-booking rates until 30 November 2026. For sourcing and technology buyers, the decision the announcement forces is calendar planning: the April 2028 dates and the value-chain hall structure reward teams that map which production tiers — fibre, coating, finishing or garment processing — they need to audit before the fair opens.
