Reshoring Textiles has acquired Sans Technical Fibers of Stoneville, North Carolina, adding US production of high-tenacity nylon 6.6 and polyester yarns to its portfolio. The companies did not disclose financial terms.

The deal gives Reshoring Textiles domestic filament capacity for technical and specialist applications, including sewing thread and industrial textiles. Sans has supplied high-tenacity filaments for more than two decades and will operate as a sister company to Spinnere, another Reshoring Textiles business.

"Customers need reliable long-term domestic sources of the raw materials their products require," said Josh Nieuwsma, chief executive of Reshoring Textiles.

Who now runs Sans?

John Garner has been appointed chief executive of Sans Technical Fibers. Robert Antoshak takes the role of chief marketing officer at the parent company, Reshoring Textiles.

Sans manufactures in North Carolina using US-made raw materials and holds ISO 9001 certification, the company says. Its yarns serve:

  • apparel
  • footwear
  • medical
  • military
  • automotive
  • manufactured-rubber markets

What does the deal change for sourcing teams?

Reshoring Textiles said the acquisition expands the group's supply of domestically produced materials for manufacturers. For buyers in apparel, footwear and industrial textiles, the transaction consolidates another US-based filament source under a single ownership group alongside Spinnere.

The compliance position rests on verifiable claims: US manufacture, US-sourced raw materials and ISO 9001 certification. Sourcing teams weighing reshored supply of high-tenacity nylon 6.6 and polyester must now decide whether to qualify the enlarged Reshoring Textiles group as a long-term domestic supplier of these inputs.
