  1. Media One acquired Premex Solutions on 22 September 2026; financial terms undisclosed.

  2. Premex is Georgia-based, supplying digitally printable fabrics to the US market.

  3. Premier Textiles Group, founded 1981 in Manchester, divests to focus on UK and European markets.

  4. Premex joins Media One portfolio alongside Fisher Textiles and Hyperflex Vinyls.

  5. Premex customers keep the same people and products, backed by Media One's wider capabilities.

Media One has acquired Premex Solutions, the Georgia-based digital textile fabrics business, as of 22 September 2026, in a deal that consolidates print-ready fabric supply with printing equipment, inks and finishing under one US owner. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The transaction pulls Premex out of Manchester-based Premier Textiles Group, a family-run business founded in 1981 that serves customers across North West England and beyond. Premier Textiles Group established Premex to meet growing US demand for digitally printable textiles.

For buyers in the US digital print supply chain, the change is structural rather than cosmetic. Premex joins Media One's existing portfolio alongside Fisher Textiles and Hyperflex Vinyls, combining print-ready fabrics with printing hardware, inks, finishing solutions and nationwide technical service in a single supplier group. Premex customers will continue working with the same people and products, now backed by Media One's wider capabilities.

What does the acquisition change for US buyers?

The deal gives Media One an integrated offering across the digital textile printing tier: substrate, chemistry, equipment and after-sales service. Jake Feldman, Chief Executive Officer of Media One, said: "Premex has developed best-in-class print-ready and pre-treated fabrics, along with real technical depth in natural and specialty textiles that complements our own printing technology and service expertise."

That positions Media One to capture converters and print houses that previously sourced substrates and consumables separately. Premex's product range — pre-treated and print-ready fabrics for digital workflows — now sits inside a group with nationwide technical coverage.

Why did Premier Textiles Group sell?

The vendor frames the sale as a focus decision, not a retreat. Nick Smith, Director, Premier Textiles Group, said: "Premex has developed into an exciting business with real potential in the US market. This acquisition puts it in the best position to reach that potential, with an owner able to give it the focus, resource and investment it needs."

Smith added: "This is about focus, not a lack of opportunity. Premex's US potential is real, and that's exactly why it needs an owner who can give it full attention. We can then put ours into growing our core UK and European businesses."

The divestment frees Premier Textiles Group to concentrate resources on Premier Textiles and Premier Digital Textiles across its core UK and European markets.

Ashok Kallumpram, Managing Director of Premier Textiles, said: "Premex Solutions represents an important extension of that legacy into the US digital printing market, so finding the right long-term home for the business was very important to us."

He added: "We believe Media One shares our commitment to customers, people and the textile industry, and has the capabilities and vision to build on that legacy for many years to come."

What should sourcing teams watch?

The deal signals continued consolidation in the US digital textile supply tier, where substrate suppliers are merging with equipment and consumables businesses to offer single-vendor workflows. For US print operations, the compliance question is continuity: contracts, fabric specifications and technical contacts at Premex remain unchanged for now, but the vendor landscape has shifted — Media One, not a UK parent, now controls the roadmap for pre-treated fabric development.

UK and European buyers should note the reverse effect: Premier Textiles Group's capacity and investment now concentrate fully on their home markets, with no US distraction. Sourcing teams on both sides of the Atlantic should reconfirm account ownership and product development pipelines as the integration proceeds.
