  1. Textile Daily debuts at Performance Days in Munich in March 2027, published by MCL News Media (Ecotextile News).

  2. Performance Days hosts 500+ exhibitors from over 30 countries twice a year at Messe München.

  3. Print copies are free on day one; a digital version follows at www.textiledaily.com, extending coverage beyond the two-day event.

MCL News Media, publisher of Ecotextile News, will launch Textile Daily, an editorially independent show newspaper, at the March 2027 edition of Performance Days in Munich. The print title will be produced by MCL's B2B textile journalists and distributed free to visitors and exhibitors at Messe München on the first day of the fair, with a digital version hosted subsequently at www.textiledaily.com.

The partnership targets a real filtering problem on the show floor. Performance Days now hosts more than 500 exhibitors and innovators from over 30 countries, twice a year, drawing thousands of international industry professionals to Munich. Textile Daily will help visitors rapidly identify the most relevant new products, technologies and services across the halls — spanning fabrics, yarns, finishes, accessories, technologies and associated services.

Editorially, the newspaper will not confine itself to product news. MCL says coverage will extend to developments affecting the wider Performance Days ecosystem, including regulation and supply-chain risk and resilience — the compliance and sourcing questions that increasingly determine which performance textile innovations reach commercial scale. A digital archive at textiledaily.com will extend the visibility of featured launches beyond the two-day event.

John Mowbray, director of MCL News Media, said: "Performance Days brings together an exceptional concentration of creativity, technical expertise and new product development at Europe's fastest-growing showcase for textile innovation.

"Textile Daily will provide visitors with an authoritative, practical guide to these innovations, helping them make the best use of their time at the show while creating a lasting editorial record of what matters."

Marco Weichert, CEO of Performance Days, added: "With so many innovations presented at Performance Days, helping visitors understand their relevance is increasingly important. Textile Daily will bring an additional editorial perspective to the show, highlighting key developments and giving outstanding innovations visibility beyond the booth. We are delighted to launch this new format together with MCL News Media in March 2027."

For exhibitors, the calculus is straightforward. Selected launches gain coverage from professional journalists working independently, rather than relying solely on promotional materials and social channels. MCL argues this editorial context strengthens the credibility of new developments, directs relevant buyers to booths and supports product-launch strategies before, during and after the event.

For sourcing teams that use Performance Days as a scouting window for functional fabric and trim suppliers, the publication adds a pre-filtered, journalist-vetted layer to a show floor of 500-plus stands. Buyers planning March 2027 trips should treat Textile Daily — print on day one, digital thereafter — as a tool for shortlisting mills and technology providers before committing booth time.
