Italian machinery makers line up 11-strong TITAS 2026 contingent in Taipei

Eleven Italian textile machinery manufacturers will exhibit at TITAS 2026 in Taipei from 6-8 October as Italy's machinery exports to Taiwan rebounded at the start of 2026, ACIMIT reports.

  1. 11 Italian manufacturers will exhibit in the Italian Pavilion at TITAS 2026, Taipei, 6-8 October 2026.

  2. Italian textile machinery exports to Taiwan posted a strong recovery at the beginning of 2026, ACIMIT said.

  3. Italy's textile machinery sector comprises approximately 300 companies and 13,000 employees, producing around €2.1 billion of machinery annually.

  4. Exports account for roughly 86% of Italian textile machinery production.

  5. ACIMIT was founded in 1945 and represents Italian machinery makers domestically and abroad.

The ACIMIT-organised delegation at TITAS 2026 will showcase resource-efficient and flexible manufacturing technologies tailored for Taiwan's upstream-focused textile sector, as Italian machinery exports to the country registered a strong recovery in early 2026.

Eleven Italian manufacturers will exhibit in the Italian Pavilion at the Taiwan International Textile & Garment Machinery Show, scheduled for 6-8 October in Taipei.

The rebound follows a period of adjustment in global textile machinery markets. ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, attributed the renewed demand to Taiwanese investment in production modernisation for higher-value end markets.

Why Taiwan, and why now?

Taiwan's textile industry has traditionally held a strong position in upstream supply-chain stages. Spinning technologies account for a significant share of local demand for Italian equipment. Finishing machinery and related accessories are now drawing attention, ACIMIT said, as Taiwanese mills diversify into higher-value applications.

"The strong increase in Taiwanese demand recorded at the beginning of this year demonstrates the central role played by our technological solutions," ACIMIT president Marco Salvadè said.

Salvadè framed the pavilion's mission in operational terms: "In a landscape where operational flexibility and environmental sustainability have become essential requirements for competitiveness, Italian companies are coming to TITAS not merely as machinery suppliers, but as genuine technology partners."

He said Italian manufacturers stand ready to deliver highly customised technologies that pair resource efficiency with high finished-product quality — a combination aimed squarely at Taiwan's current modernisation cycle.

What will the 11 exhibitors bring?

The Italian Pavilion lineup:

  • Color Service
  • Corino
  • Crosta
  • Danitech
  • Fadis
  • Ferraro
  • L.A.I.P.
  • Lafer
  • Pozzi Leopoldo
  • Reggiani Macchine
  • Texera

ACIMIT said the contingent spans a broad range of textile manufacturing technologies. Each exhibitor will use the Taipei show floor to court local partners seeking higher productivity, greater flexibility and lower resource intensity.

How large is the Italian machinery sector?

ACIMIT figures place the Italian textile machinery industry at approximately 300 companies, 13,000 employees and €2.1 billion in annual production. Exports absorb roughly 86% of that output — a ratio that defines the sector as primarily export-driven across textile manufacturing markets worldwide.

The association, founded in 1945, represents Italy's machinery makers both domestically and abroad. ACIMIT's renewed Taipei push reflects the long-standing relationship between the Italian and Taiwanese textile industries, the group said.

What does the sourcing decision look like now?

For Taiwanese mills weighing capital expenditure, the 2026 rebound sharpens a near-term choice: lock in delivery slots with the Italian flexible-finishing and spinning suppliers set to occupy the pavilion, or defer orders pending further confirmation of the demand curve at the show. ACIMIT's positioning of its members as technology partners rather than transactional vendors signals that customisation, not catalogue pricing, will dictate conversations on the Taipei floor.
